o What organizational processes does the company use?
o How do the business operations support the strategic plan, mission, and vision of the company?
o What factors affect productivity and profitability?
Determine the key trends in production, quality, resource, and information management with a focus on the business operations of your company.
Assess the impact of these key trends on the business operations of your selected company and on the business product, service, or other idea in your

WADRY COMPANY
2
Part 1
Wadry is a company that designs two in one wash and dry suitcases. This is a unique
product that is meant to serve as a convenient option that is different from the conventional
washing machine due to its portability and convenience of use. The product is designed to clean
and dry clothes conveniently due to the fact that it is small and can even be used in camping and
outdoor adventures. This involves a wash and dry system built into the size of a suitcase. It can
be easily carried around and used in different situations. The main goal of the product is to
increase the convenience of laundry.
In most cities apartments with the in-unit washer and dryer are rare and people mostly
use Laundromats. Even though the laundry services are easily available such as wash and fold
services there are those people that find these options very inconvenient. Some people especially
those who are always on the road do not have time to do laundry in Laundromats or to acquire
laundry services hence having a portable wash and dry system that is light to pack and easy to
use is a very crucial thing.
The Wadry product is able to deliver convenience on several levels including its size. It is
designed to compact into a suitcase that is light and easy to carry this makes it differ from the
conventional washing machine that is very bulky and not portable at all. With this product one
can easily travel around with it, and it proves very useful in camping situations where laundry
services are hard to access and laundry machines are not easily available. This two in one wash
and dry system is also convenient since it uses a considerably less amount of water in washing
and still washes the clothes just as well as the conventional washing machine.
The products specifications include the fact that it has both a wager and a dryer. This
means that the suitcase can open up to have two systems which are the washing part and the

frying part where after cleaning the clothes can be transferred to the drying section. This portable
washer and dryer are designed to use little water as well. This part of the product makes it
sustainable and very environmentally friendly. In this effect the sustainability of this product is a
key selling point. The other specification is the fact that the products are designed in a way that it
can open up and compact in to a suitcase. This makes it very easy to transport. The other
contributing part is that the product is also light as well hence being light and able to compact in
to a small size makes it very portable. This portability allows consumers to use in places where
the conventional washing machine cannot reach such as in camping sites.
The pricing of the product would range from 150 to 170 dollars. To enable the
development of a proper pricing strategy, the products must have a small and large suitcase size
where the large suitcase goes for a higher price but there still remains a smaller option which is
cheaper and more affordable. This way customers have an option of either buying the big one or
the more affordable one. Price consideration will also be evaluated through competing
competitors prices and later adjusting the company’s prices.

This product must also be very well marketed in order to gain brand awareness as well as
promote the company’s sales. In this effect, the company will consider online marketing as well
as traditional marketing such as the use of bill boards. Online marketing will involve social
media marketing among other methods. Social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and
YouTube play a crucial role in product advertising. These platforms among others such as twitter
and Pinterest serve as sources of social proofing where customers even rate or make decisions on
whether a brand is legit or not through their social profiles. This means that the company must be
keen to social proof as well as make sure they advertise on these platforms (Zarrella, 2009).
Social media allows a person the freedom to choose the audience to advertise to hence one must
have specified their audience and target market beforehand.
Part 2
The chosen method of forecasting will be the moving average. This forecasting method is
a simple and smooth method that predicts the future using the data collected for the previous
months. This forecasting method looks at the patterns in a set of data to predict future values.
The moving average mostly occurs in, two forms which are three months and five months
moving average. The best type of moving average for Wadry will be the three months moving
average.
