Expert answer:Current and Emerging Technologies

Solved by verified expert:Discussion Forum 2Topic: We all had the unfortunate experience of seeing how computers can, at times, make life’s journey abit more difficult. This is especially true in knowledge centric workplaces. Describe an example of a very poorly implemented database that you’ve encountered (or read about) that illustrates the potential for really messing things up. Include, in your description, an analysis of what might have caused the problems and potential solutions to them. Be sure to provide supporting evidence, with citations from the literature. As with the first discussion topic, it is not enough for you to simply create a own posting. You must read the postings of the other members of the class and comment on each of them. Please see Discussion Forum of the class syllabus for additional details on content.Reply:-1There have been numerous database models have come into market place replacing the old or inefficient databases since two or three decades. Despite having the technology companies have been suffering due to the poor management of the databases, which ultimately results in the company into a loss. Databases are one of the vital resources that any organization would need to store its data and perform daily business transactions. Below is the database issue that we had encountered within our organization and how we resolved it finally (DeWitt, D. J., & Gray, J., 1992).We have an application, which ultimately relies on the databases to store and retrieve data almost every minute. Since a couple of days, we were experiencing the business transactions are taking place at a very slow pace, which not affecting the business stakeholders to perform their duties, it also creating chaos to the technical team to perform many manual transactions to catch up with the regular business transaction. As the issue was escalated to the higher delegates within the organization, every team member of each team participated to troubleshoot the issue and finally figured out that some of the indexes were removed inadvertently due to the activities of the database that had been performed a week before the issue aroused (Harrington, J. L., 2009).Once the issue is identified, an emergency change request was created to fix the issue. To alleviate such incidents in the future, stringent protocols have been developed while deploying any changes as to avoid similar instances in the future. Also, every database team member should possess a certification renewed regularly to keep the latest knowledge up to date, which ultimately can enhance the resources utilization to its maximum usage. Management was very happy about the team coordination that we had shown up during the troubleshooting session and showered with many accolades.Reply 2:-There may be various reasons for poor database performance. Deployment, configuration and lack of resources are a few common reasons which affect the performance of a database. An organization has to create a database according to its requirements, a wrong selection would lead to various issues in the future and it is very expensive to change a database design. A well-designed system should be implemented correctly. Large expansion problems are caused because of using the wrong hardware or instance for Cloud, flash-based storage instead of memory or discs inappropriate amount. These types of problems can be easy to catch and fix. Another common reason for low performance is the lack of resources as the system has a specific memory, CPU, disk IO, and network resources. Obstacles prevent the database from doing more. Database execution firmly relies upon the measure of accessible memory, as I/O supports or as a workspace for preparing calculations. Subsequently, it appears sensible to attempt to utilize all accessible memory, to keep and control information in memory in compacted structure. This requires the query preparing calculations to work on compacted information. The complete I/O expenses contrast by a factor of more than three. I/O costs for the long-lasting documents contrast by a factor of two, to form a proportion of half, the I/O costs for transitory records vary by various factors. A factor of two without a stretch can be normal; the improved use of memory reduces the number of records that must be composed to flood documents. In this way, the pressure lessens both the number and size of records kept in touch with brief documents, to decrease I/O costs on impermanent documents by a factor of six.Data compression is an efficient tool for storing storage space and network bandwidth. The compression rate can be accomplished for any dataset depend, on the quality and assessment division. Compression can lessen the measure of space required for a given information collection. This has various consequences on I/O execution. The decreased information space fits into a smaller physical disk territory; hence, the look for distances and time are diminished.Note:-HiIts a Discussion and two replies for above questioni need everything in separate documents as 1st document should be discussion , 2nd document should be reply 1 and 3rd document should be reply 2.make sure no turnitin and no plagiarism please dont copy it from any source write in your own words.make sure you write everything in own wordsPlease dont copy from any source we have a turnitin. And send me three documents in different folder.send me files according to attached pic
