Expectations for Group 2:
● Equally, divide work among group members. Due to this, we will not have a team leader.
● Roles:
○ **** and **** – go-to people for writing components
○ **** and **** – go-to people for presentation components
● When disagreements arise, we will go with the majority vote, and if tied, then we will
make some type of compromise between the two ideas.
● Our group message will be the main form of communication between group members
● All of the documents will be put in the “ENGL 302” shared folder on google
● If we need to meet, we will text in our group chat or in class about schedules and a
common meeting place. If a team member cannot make it to the meeting, we will text
them an update in the group chat.
● An “absence” is any unexcused class absence. There are no consequences as long as
you clearly communicate through the group chat that you will not be in class/at a group
activity. If absences start affecting the progress of the group, consequences will be
decided upon by other group members.
○ As soon as possible, but must be before class. If we meet outside of class and
we agree on a time to meet, a two-hour notice is preferable.
● Official Policies:
○ Disciplinary Actions:
■ Prep days and presentation days – mandatory, however, if we are all
notified prior to absence, it can be excused. If the group is not notified,
loss of one point per absence.
■ Deadlines, don’t do work, poor-quality work – Poor work quality will be
decided by at least two group members. If poor work quality occurs, other
team members must communicate with the individual to re-do the section
and turn in by an assigned deadline decided by the team.
● If problems (deadlines, not completing work, poor work, etc.)
continue to escalate or happen more than twice, a team
intervention can be held. This may or may not include the
instructor and their input. At this point in time, the group may
decide to issue a grade reduction or point loss.
○ Group members must check phone at least one a day in order to see any
updates.
● Reporting Issues
○ See above. The instructor may advise what to do about the situation; however,
final say is up to majority of group members. If there is a tie, the instructor will
make the final deciding vote.
